Sesshin Practice

Dharma holder Geoff Shōun O'Keeffe offers reflections on practice during our June Sesshin. What is it that we do together in retreat? It may seem like not much is happening, but it is utterly extraordinary. We practice appreciating every moment, painful and pleasant. We strip away complexity and distraction and create an intentional space where we can just be. And meet ourselves just as we are. To notice. And let go.

As Joko Beck says "willing for life to be as it is, embracing both life and death, pleasure and pain, good and bad, comfortable in being both.” What a gift. What is it that gets in the way of that?
